Improving core stability means improving torso strength by training muscles that make up your torso. Some muscles that help are responsible for core stability are muscles near the spine, internal and external obliques, and of course abdominal muscles. Why would you want to improve these torso muscles?
Any good set of exercise routines include core strengthening exercises. The purpose of this is to improve your overall fitness level and help avoid injuries. Without strong core muscles to support your bones, you will be prone to back and neck pains even while doing normal daily activities.
One of the most important aspects of core stability training programs is that you need to address all muscle groups of the torso in a balanced way. Here are the five best exercises that will give you a good starting point.
1. Straight Crunch. Although old fashion, the straight crunch helps strengthen the “6-pack abs” section of your torso.
2. Crossover Crunch. The crossover crunch is a great exercise that adds a twist of the upper body to the straight crunch movement. This strengthens the muscles that are on the side and front of the abdomen.
3. Back Extension. The back extension exercise is performed lying on your stomach, and contracting the back muscles that run along your spine.
4. Arm Sweep. This exercise targets the obliques. Start by sitting down in a slightly leaned-back manner then start moving your arms in a helicopter style circle while twisting your upper body left and right around your hips.
5. Plank or Push-Up. Finally, the plank or push-up exercises address the “transverse abdominis”, the muscles that are lying in the depth of your abdomen, wrapping around the spine. These muscles protect and stabilize your spine most directly and are crucial in avoiding back pains.
When you mix up these five exercises in a balanced way, you will favor certain muscle groups in each exercise while addressing the “complete package” of core strength training. For best results it may be advisable to use a personal trainer, particularly when you first start with your core stability training. With the help of a trainer you can also venture into more advanced exercises to maintain good core strength.

Weight loss often can be exhausting because lack of energy caused by exercising, and permanent sense of hunger because of dieting and eating less. These things can make annoyed and even angry anybody, even the calmest and kindest person. To reduce one of these weight loss “side effects” it’s a good idea to look for and actually use natural hunger suppressants – foods and products which will keep you full for longer but are not very rich.
Bellow I will give you few examples of products which will help you to suppress your appetite and will keep you away from snacking and unnecessary overeating. These products are …
Soups and water are great things to start with. Water generally must be used in large volumes because it has no calories at all and fill you up effectively. Hunger can be if not suppressed then reduced with water at any time, just drink a glass or two when you fell hungry. If you need some extra calories or water doesn’t work that good then have a cup of soup which should sort you out for some time.
Apples. They are fibre rich, cholesterol free and vitamin full natural appetite suppressants which are highly available, cost almost nothing and will save you on visits to doctors. Apples will fill you up fast and will keep you away from snacking effectively and naturally.
Lettuce, cabbage and other green leaf vegetables are also good natural hunger suppressors. They’re almost calorie free, taste good and can be mixed with few other ingredients to make them taste better and to make your diet a bit more interesting. Add garlic or onion and fry it all; or add soy sauce or salad dressing and eat uncooked. Green leaf vegetables can be consumed as much as you like and every time when hunger bothers you.
Choices are numerous and hunger can be suppressed completely naturally by everyone using natures produce. It’s only down to right choices. Choose fibre and vitamin rich products which are low in calories and see how hunger is disappearing.

If you don’t know, fibre and fibre rich products usually are recommended by health specialists and nutritionists because they act as natural appetite suppressant (weight loss benefit), they can reduce different bowel problems and cholesterol level in your blood.
Probably you’ve seen high-fibre cereal adverts on TV where they promise to keep you full from breakfast until lunch, what is true because fibre is excellent natural appetite suppressant. On this example you can see that small changes can be without any efforts just start eating fibre rich cereals in the morning and fibre intake is increasing already.
Yes, making changes, especially when it comes to our diets seems a very tough task but changing little things (like in example above) can increase our daily fibre intake which can lead to benefits of natural appetite suppression that can be seen very fast.
Fibre can be either soluble or insoluble and is made up of several complex carbohydrates. The fact that fibre contains no vitamins, calories or minerals and isn’t digested makes it great aid for people who suffer from constipation. Lack of all these substances makes fibre different from other foods we consume. Also fibre is a good bowel cleaner what brings few more health benefits which will be listed bellow.
Don’t think that fibre can be gained from eating meat. Only sources of fibre are plants where it is present in the cell walls. Most common fibre rich products are grain, vegetables and fruits – all highly recommended for inclusion into healthy diet.
Apart from weight loss benefits brought by appetite suppression, fibre also delivers other health benefits. Here are few of additional health benefits of fibre rich diet: stabilised blood sugar levels, reduced blood cholesterol levels, reduced risks of bowel problems such as cancer of bowel and colon and haemorrhoids.

The flabby arm issue plagues many women across the world. And only if they knew how to master their metabolism
How does mastering your metabolism help you? Well, your metabolism is the amount of calories you burn per unit of time for your body to function. If you can master it, you’ll burn more calories.
An increased metabolism will have your body burning a surplus of calories 24/7. So even while you are sleeping, your metabolism will be hard at work burning off all that arm fat.
Here are 4 tips so that you can win you flabby arm fight:
1. Drink loose leaf green tea every morning. If you are still drinking bagged tea, it’s time to upgrade. Loose leaf green tea is far superior in every aspect. Have a hefty serving in the morning with breakfast and experience an elevation in metabolism for hours on end.
2. Get deep and restful sleep every night. You are going to need 7 hours at a bare minimum. Fall short here, and you won’t be able to process carbohydrates very well and you won’t build as much muscle. And muscle is the absolute best way to increase your metabolism.
3. Take supplemental caffeine. Not only does caffeine increase alertness but it also increases your metabolism. And in supplemental form it’s very convenient. The main issue here is assessing tolerance so that your digestive system doesn’t go haywire and so that you don’t lose any sleep. If you think supplemental caffeine is right for you, start with very low doses.
4. Consume spicy food. You will not get a huge metabolic increase from this, but you will see an increase nonetheless. Eating spices and hot food on a regular basis will increase your metabolism. And they are full of nutrients too.
Ok, by now you should be a metabolic wizard. Take action on my winning tips and your flabby arm issue will begin to go away. Good luck!

The BBC aired a documentary touting the benefits of calcium. And one of the benefits was its ability to block dietary fat from being digested.
However, can taking extra calcium really make a difference in your fat loss efforts?
If only fat loss could be packaged in a pill? But it’s not. The truth is, the amount of extra fat excreted with additional calcium intake will not have a huge effect on fat loss. And one has to be careful with the idea of blocking fat absorption.
Why? Because fat is absolutely necessary for the production of hormones that accelerate fat loss.
Even worse, please consider the following risks of excess calcium supplementation:
1. Competition with iron. All the cells in your body need oxygen to produce energy. Iron is used by hemoglobin to transport oxygen. And if you take in too much calcium you can decrease the absorption of iron. Not good.
2. Net negative calcium levels. Ironically, taking calcium in the antacid form can accelerate the loss of calcium and leave you with levels that are lower than before. So try to get calcium from other types of supplements, and if possible, from whole food sources.
3. Stones and potential kidney damage. This is mostly an issue for those who have a history with kidney stones. So if you think you might have kidney issues, please do NOT supplement with calcium without the strict supervision of a doctor.
4. Too much D. Many calcium supplements are super fortified with vitamin D. And if you have hefty amounts of vitamin D coming from other sources in your diet, you risk overdose. Now vitamin D is an exceptional nutrient, but too much of anything is NOT good for you.
A little extra calcium is not going to hurt you. But you do have to be careful with large amounts of supplementation or you run the risk of damaging your health. And remember that when supplementing with any type of nutrient, there are always risks to consider.

The bedrock of any effective toning program is the ability to raise BMR (basal metabolic rate). The largest percentage of calories burned comes from your BMR.
The main problem here, though, is that you may be lost amongst all the marketing claims. Doesn’t it seem like every new product comes with a novel way to increase calories burned?
So here are some real factors that influence your BMR:
1. Chronological age. As the years go by so does muscle. One of the main causes of disease with age is the loss of muscle mass. And muscle mass has a very strong influence over BMR.
2. Muscle mass proportion. Having a solid base of lean muscle tissue will ensure a powerful basal metabolic rate. And if you eat enough vitamins and minerals, the mitochondria (energy producers) within your cells will work full force.
3. Coming down with a fever. Strangely, getting sick also raises your BMR, although temporarily. Having said that, please do not try to get a fever just to burn some extra calories.
4. Catabolic hormones. In the short run, stress hormones will cause your BMR to go up. But caution is warranted here because over the long run, said hormones will actually lower your BMR. Why? Because of lean tissue loss.
5. Temperature. If you have to adjust to cold temperatures your BMR goes up. If you have to adjust to hot temperatures your BMR also goes up.
6. Caloric drops. If you fast or starve, your BMR will drop very fast. Probably a lot faster than you think. In order to reduce the damage from dieting, you should only slightly restrict calories and never skip meals.
Learning how to master your metabolism is one of the most important things you can do to ensure long term fat loss success. Most women can see initial fat loss with minor changes, but if you want long term changes, you have to increase your BMR.

Nutrition for getting sexy arms isn’t too complex. Especially if you ignore all the fads.
Unfortunately, there are specific scenarios when advanced nutrition is needed. You can’t stick to the basics or else you may set back your sexy arm mission.
One tricky area is when you exercise very early in the morning. Since your body is coming out of a fasted state, you have to be very precise with your nutrition.
Thus, without further ado, here are some tips for early morning workout nutrition:
1. Drink 2 cups of water immediately. This has to be your top priority. When you wake up you are severely dehydrated. And dehydration will really mess up digestion. So without water you will not be able to efficiently digest your breakfast.
2. When the workout is 3 hours upon waking. Eat a complete and balanced breakfast. Don’t skimp here! Have a source of protein, carbs and fat. And if you want to take it to the next level, add in some vegetables.
3. If you’re going to exercise 1 hour after waking up. Have two slices of whole grain bread with some type of nut butter like peanut butter. The bread will give your body much needed fuel and the peanut butter will slow down the digestion of the bread.
4. When the workout is 10 minutes upon waking. You could make your own shake with an easily digestible carb like maltodextrin or dextrose, and add in some casein protein. Alternatively, you could have a supplement like power gel.
I understand that you may have a very hectic and “tight” schedule. However, I strongly recommend against working out 10 minutes upon waking up. It’s extremely difficult for the female body to digest any type of food or supplement within such a short time frame. You’re likely to burn through a lot of muscle if you do this. Not good if you want to get rid of arm fat and get sexy arms!

Night eating syndrome is thin arm enemy #1.
And what exactly is NES? Also known as night eating syndrome, NES is a condition where you have extremely small quantities of food during the day and have extremely LARGE quantities of food at night. It also messes up your levels of arm-thinning hormones.
But how do you know whether or not you have night eating syndrome to begin with? Well, do you have any of the following symptoms:
1. No breakfast and no lunch. If you skip breakfast and/or lunch, then you probably have night eating syndrome. Why? Because you’re going to compensate for the lack of calories by gorging at night.
2. Reduced mental function. A poor mood with little ability to concentrate can be indicative of poor early day nutrition. When you restrict calories during the earlier parts of the day, mental functioning and mood will be greatly reduced.
3. Multiple awakenings at night followed by trips to the refrigerator. Disturbed sleep and excessive food intake at night are primary characteristics of night eating syndrome victims. The interrupted sleep and caloric load really put the nails in your thin arm coffin.
4. Eat lots of carbohydrates at night. The reduced mood is usually compensated for by gorging on carbohydrates at night. If you find yourself loading up on pasta at night, you may have NES.
5. Have feelings of stress at night when you’re eating. Stress hormones, anxiety, and depression are all characteristics of women with NES. If you are anxious or sad when eating at night, you could be compensating for emotional wounds.
6. Family history of NES. NES runs in families. So if multiple family members have it, then your chances of having it are much higher.
Not only is living with NES unhealthy, but it will also blunt any efforts to get thin and slim arms. So you have to seek help if you can’t get rid of it on your own. Doing so will improve your quality of life substantially. And you’ll finally be able to get the sexy arms you want and deserve.

By now you probably know that so called healthy fats help you burn arm fat. But did you know that one type of fat is responsible for an abnormally high amount of deaths every year? Which one is it you ask? Trans fatty acids.
How was this killer born? Well, during the 1900’s a couple chemists figured out that hydrogenation extended the shelf life of vegetable oils. Too bad they didn’t know how much damage their new discovery would cause.
Trans fats became the single nutrient responsible for the highest amount of annual deaths in the United States.
The bottom line is that trans fatty acids alter your metabolic process so much that obtaining slim arms becomes a pipe dream. It really doesn’t matter how hard you train, except if you’re an Olympic athlete.
So just how bad are trans fats? Well, check out the following list:
1. The lowest estimate from Harvard predicts 30,000 annual deaths. That is a lot of death from a single nutrient. The U.S. population, and the rest of the world, has never dealt with such a common yet lethal killer.
2. There is no safe level of intake. The food industry would have you believe that 40 calories per day of trans fat will have NO negative impact on your health or arms. Yet Harvard and Stanford research has clearly proven otherwise.
3. They increase internal body fat. Specifically, they do a great job at raising triglycerides-the storage form of fat in the female body. How do you expect to get slim arms when you’re raising internal body fat levels???
4. They boost dense LDL particles. Not all bad cholesterol is created equal. Some are worse than others. And dense LDL particles are the worst kind
I hope this article doesn’t scare you. You shouldn’t be afraid of food! However, I do hope that it educates you and motivates you to stay away from trans fats. It’s quite rare for a single nutrient to have such harmful effects on the female body. Usually, a whole range of factors are too blame for excess body fat. Yet trans fat are an exception here. So if you want thin and slim arms, make sure you adopt a zero intake policy!
